The Inkey List - Are They Dupes?

Whenever an affordable line of skincare drops on the market - skincare lovers everywhere want to know, are there any DUPES? It’s a special kind of high to find an uber luxurious product on drugstore shelves. Finding that elusive dupe is almost as fun as the actual hunt.

One of our special powers here at SKINSKOOL is mining our backend Skincare Compare database for data and information to create groovy Reverse Dupe Brand Reports. Normally when you come to the SKINSKOOL website, you’re going to put in a product in the search bar that we’ll call the “Target Product”. So then you press search and out comes all these results that contain similar ingredients to the product you were searching for. But what is also interesting to know is say you buy a really affordable moisturizer that you love - and you want to know what is this a dupe FOR. What, perhaps more expensive product, does this cheaper product contain almost all the ingredients for. We decided to do this for mega affordable brand The Inkey List (UK based but also available at Sephora states side).

The Method. We dug into the Skincare Compare backend and did an inverse look up – essentially reversing our algorithm to figure out what every product in The Inkey List line is a good dupe FOR. If we don’t list a product here, we didn’t find anything of note.

The Results. We ran every product from The Inkey List line through our database and pitted it against 20,000+ other products and this is what we found them to be the best dupes of:
