Key ingredients and their functions
- Dihydroxyacetone - colorant
- Ethoxydiglycol - solubilizer
- Decyl Glucoside - surfactant
- Erythrulose - colorant
- Agastache Mexicana Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract - skin conditioning
- Panthenol - moisturizer
- Aloe Barbadensis Extract - soothing agent
- Ascorbic Acid - antioxidant
How it works
The self-tanning mousse incorporates dihydroxyacetone and erythrulose to temporarily darken the skin by reacting with amino acids in the skin's surface. Ethoxydiglycol helps ensure uniform distribution of the tanning agents. Decyl glucoside acts as a mild cleaning agent to prepare the skin. Agastache mexicana flower/leaf/stem extract contributes to skin conditioning, while panthenol and aloe barbadensis extract provide moisturizing and soothing effects. Ascorbic acid serves as an antioxidant to help maintain the formulation's stability. The mousse appears to be designed to offer a dark glow with the help of these ingredients, enhancing the skin's appearance.
