How it works
Creme de la Mer appears to be designed to provide moisture and soothe the skin. Algae extract acts as a moisturizing agent, helping to hydrate the skin. Mineral oil and petrolatum serve as emollient and occlusive agents, creating a barrier on the skin's surface to lock in moisture. Glycerin functions as a humectant, attracting water to the skin and maintaining hydration. Lanolin alcohol works as an emollient, adding moisturization. Citrus aurantifolia (lime) extract is included for its antioxidant properties, potentially helping to protect the skin. Sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil acts as a conditioning agent, further enhancing skin softness. Eucalyptus globulus (eucalyptus) leaf oil is used to provide a fragrance to the formulation. Together, these ingredients aim to improve the skin’s appearance by maintaining hydration and offering soothing effects.

Creme de la Mer is like a luxurious hug for my skin! The rich, velvety texture leaves my face feeling deeply hydrated and radiant without any greasy residue. After using it consistently, I noticed an improvement in my skin’s overall texture and firmness, making it feel as if I've had a spa day every day! But most of all I just like the SMELL!

There is a reason this product has a cult following. It's expensive but it also delivers a great experience. I love the texture, the richness and I like the scent. Mostly use this as a night cream because it is quite rich and seems overkill if it is daytime and I'm also wearing SPF. My skin glows in the morning after using it overnight. If money was not an object, I would definitely use this on the regular. Now it's just an occasional splurge that I really do enjoy.
